Life can be tough and age can get us down if we don't keep a good, positive mental attitude. We all need a little shove once in a while to help lift our spirits when we get bored, drained and wained from the long journey of our aging years. You may feel down and forlorn, but you don't have to stay that way. No generation has ever been so blessed in their aging years as today. The 60's are the new 40's, the 70's the new 50's and so on and so on. Since I am 63, I look and feel 43, and I love it. I LOVE my age. How about you?

1. Be Grateful: Every evening before you retire, write down 5 things you were grateful for today. We can't expect to get out of the rut we're in if we're unappreciative and inconsiderate. When we're thankful for the things we have, the people we love and our health, our lives change dramatically for the better, and that's definitely something to be thankful for. Remember, life is an attitude!! You will find that changing your attitude surely changes your life.
2. Learn To Like Yourself: You have the power to create the life you want--Joyful, exhilarating, fulfilled, no matter how old you are. Your best is yet to come! Something good is going to happen to you because you like who you are, what you have done, and what you are to become. You have talents and creativity. You have done a lot of wonderful things in your life...You have an exceptional talent, one no-one else has, and that talent is worthy of sharing with the world. Discover who you really are and learn to love yourself wholley. Make a list of everything you like about yourself. List your creativities, your talents, the generous things you do. Open up that heart and let your feelings flow. Look at your list in a month from now and you will discover that you have more to add, and that list will grow and grow and grow. It's amazing!!
4. Write down your thoughts, ideas and dreams on a tablet so you’ll have a record of all the wonderful ideas you come up with.
3. Create A Positive Attitude
A negative attitude will shorten your life and effect everything you do. It causes anger, hate, sickness and death. We talked ourselves into having that negative attitude so now we have to talk ourselves out of it. We told ourselves life is for the birds, that the world is cruel and wicked, that people are mean and vicious, and that there is no purpose for our lives. Now we have to turn those thoughts around. Aldous Huxdey assured us when he said, "There's only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self".
